Sterling Silver Choker with Garnets and Turquoise Dangles. A beautiful choker sized necklace with gorgeous dangles to complement your fine jewelry collection.
The main choker is in the “helm weave” design, and the dangles feature byzantine knots.
Real garnets. Real sterling silver. I never use fake anything. I take a lot of pride in making high quality jewelry, and that includes real sterling silver and real stones.
It’s simply beautiful! The real, dark-red garnets highlight the real turquoise. The dangles are longer towards the middle of the necklace to create a “pointed” look in the center, while the single garnet stones create a line that help accent the turquoise.
This choker was designed to be a companion to the Rondo a la Byzantine bracelet, which uses the same chainmaille weaves:
Hours of painstaking work have produced this glamorous necklace. All silver rings are filed and perfectly closed so you won’t get scratched by the chain. This turquoise and garnet choker necklace will last and be beautiful for years. Additionally, the open rings towards the end of the chain, as well as the rings on the extension chain, are soldered to ensure they won’t open or fall apart under normal use.
I made all the sterling silver rings and the “pins” that hold the stone dangles. (I bought the stones and the lobster claw clasp.) The chain was tumble polished for 2 hours to ensure a very high shine. Result: fantastic!
